The Velatura balm has a soft, sweet scent that reminds me a bit of cake. It’s not overpowering, and I don’t notice it when applying the product to my cheeks or lips. The texture is very light, semi-sheer and glossy. You can apply it directly from the stick, but I actually prefer using a brush.

Despite the lightweight texture, the color payoff is definitely there, and I love how easy it is to build up in layers. On a few occasions, I took the balm with me to touch up my makeup throughout the day, and it always looked fresh and natural.

What really stood out to me is how long-lasting the formula is. Even though it gives that beautiful dewy finish, it doesn’t disappear from the cheeks after just a few hours.

I also tried Velatura as a lip tint. It’s lovely, but to be honest, it’s not quite enough for me to wear on its own. That said, it looks stunning paired with a lip pencil, and I love adding a touch of gloss on top for extra hydration.

I think it’s genuinely difficult to create a product that performs equally well on both lips and cheeks. Personally, I see Velatura more as a cheek product, but I enjoy using it on my lips in combination with other products to create a cohesive look.

The shade “Meeting the Ex” is a beautiful cool-toned pink, vibrant yet fresh. I feel like it instantly brightens my face, and I absolutely love it.
