WHY LISA CREATED IT

“I wanted to achieve with makeup what painters achieve with the ‘Velatura Technique’ – also known as ‘Veil of Colour’ or ‘Glazing’. The technique involved applying a semi-translucent wash of paint, which allowed for translucency, so the under layers of paint showed through, resulting in realistic colour shift, luminosity and added dimension.”

HOW TO USE

Swipe directly onto lips and blend onto cheeks with fingertips for a soft, buildable veil of colour.

For an effortless, low-maintenance monochrome look, tap a little onto the brow bone.

Wear alone for a fresh, dewy colour, or pair with Enhancing Tint for a perfected, skin-like base with a natural flush of sheeny colour.

Make sure to close your Velatura securely (push the cap firmly down until you hear the click) to keep your formula fresh!

Velatura Balm Dewy Lip And Cheek Stick is fresh, dewy and luminous. It feels comfortably balmy on lips, while hydrating and brightening cheeks with a sheeny glow that delivers on colour payoff.

Lisa would recommend applying Velatura after using Enhancing Tint, to add colour to lips, cheeks and even the brow-bone.

You can also use Velatura straight onto clean skin on ‘barely there makeup’ days, for a low-maintenance, believable flush.

Lisa says that fingers are often the best tool, the warmth of your hands can really help the product meld seamlessly into the skin. Lisa recommends tapping a little colour onto the apples of the cheeks, then gently pressing and diffusing it outwards in a soft pressing motion.

If you prefer a brush, go for something soft and not too dense.

    Unbearable smell

    I love everything of Lisa’s I’ve tried - mascara, lipsticks, cleanser, mist, brows, eyeshadow… I was so excited for this following the launch of the original blush, but the smell for me is unbearable. The sickliest vanilla scent that does not dissipate. The finish of the product is very sticky/tacky and unfortunately, those two things combined make it feel like a cheap, novelty product.

    Dewy and FRESH af

    I ADORE this balm. Not only is its application flawlessly simple, but it is like freshness and YOUTH in a twist-up tube! I use this Rose Madder color every day and Pomegranate for occasions which call for a slightly stronger pop of color. Easy to tote, smells like a delicate heaven, and useful for lips and cheek, both. As a professional performer, I wear this on the Metropolitan Opera stage nightly, and it stands up under hot lights and the rigors of performance. FIVE STARS!

    Healthy Glow Ahead

    I just love the pop of healthy color I get from this stick. It's so easy to throw in my bag for touch ups on the go and the color goes with everything, just looks like a natural flush. So beautiful.

    Lovely colour

    I never know what colour blush to buy. Because I have some hyperpigmentation, I am careful to use any at all.

    I am very happy with this product. The colour Rose Madder is as beautiful as I expected from the pictures. It is maybe the most beautiful colour I have ever had on my lips. It goes well with my blue/green eyes. It doesn't last very long, though, it has to be reapplied after a few hours.

    As blush, I use it subtly. I love the effect.

    The big stick is not ideal to use as lipstick, but its ok.

    All in all, I am very happy with the product, I use it allthe time, and will buy again.

    My new everyday favourite

    I absolutely love this. The colour is a beautiful, natural rosy shade and the formula keeps my lips soft and comfortable for hours. Surprisingly long-lasting for such a moisturising balm.
