“I wanted to achieve with makeup what painters achieve with the ‘Velatura Technique’ – also known as ‘Veil of Colour’ or ‘Glazing’. The technique involved applying a semi-translucent wash of paint, which allowed for translucency, so the under layers of paint showed through, resulting in realistic colour shift, luminosity and added dimension.”

    Pomegranate Glace

    Beautiful light-weight formula. A vibrant sheer to buildable red-orange. Moisturizing like a balm but lightweight and non-sticky. Suits my sensitive oily-combination skin type. Color vibrancy stayed the 5-7 hours I wore it. It left a faint stain on the lips after enjoying a meal. Can be applied with fingers, brush or directly from stick. Used on both cheeks and lips. Excited to try more shades.

    A Natural Flush of Colour

    Using mainly powdered blush products, I was intrigued to try this one. I started moving towards more hydrating base products for my face as my skin is becoming dry, even though I’m living in the humid tropics! This product is what I needed. It delivers enough moisture that gives a natural flush, and this shade pomegranate glacé gives a sun-kissed effect. On the lips, it provides again, a natural flush of colour and even when the balmy-ness wears away after a couple of hours, I found that my lips were left with a light natural stain which I loved. Would definitely recommend especially if you have drier skin. It brings life to your face! In my photos I’m wearing the balm on my cheeks and Palazzo on my lips.
