“I wanted to achieve with makeup what painters achieve with the ‘Velatura Technique’ – also known as ‘Veil of Colour’ or ‘Glazing’. The technique involved applying a semi-translucent wash of paint, which allowed for translucency, so the under layers of paint showed through, resulting in realistic colour shift, luminosity and added dimension.”

HOW TO USE

Swipe directly onto lips and blend onto cheeks with fingertips for a soft, buildable veil of colour.

For an effortless, low-maintenance monochrome look, tap a little onto the brow bone.

Wear alone for a fresh, dewy colour, or pair with Enhancing Tint for a perfected, skin-like base with a natural flush of sheeny colour.

Make sure to close your Velatura securely (push the cap firmly down until you hear the click) to keep your formula fresh!

Velatura Balm Dewy Lip And Cheek Stick is fresh, dewy and luminous. It feels comfortably balmy on lips, while hydrating and brightening cheeks with a sheeny glow that delivers on colour payoff.

Lisa would recommend applying Velatura after using Enhancing Tint, to add colour to lips, cheeks and even the brow-bone.

You can also use Velatura straight onto clean skin on ‘barely there makeup’ days, for a low-maintenance, believable flush.

Lisa says that fingers are often the best tool, the warmth of your hands can really help the product meld seamlessly into the skin. Lisa recommends tapping a little colour onto the apples of the cheeks, then gently pressing and diffusing it outwards in a soft pressing motion.

If you prefer a brush, go for something soft and not too dense.

    Luxurious formula and fresh rosy colour

    I bought this as a treat for myself. The texture is very luxurious and the colour beautyful. I like that it has a little bit of a sweet smell. I prefer lip products with a litte smell in generall. On the cheeks it works nicely and has a beautiful sheen. I have already purchased another colour :-)

    Perfect blush, not a great lip balm

    Let me start by saying these sticks blew me away. I was skeptical about another dewy, balmy blush on the market but I should have known better: this is Lisa F*#$ing Eldridge! The finish is absolutely divine. I love how blendable it is and how sheer. It's so easy to apply. It doesn't last very long but it's easy to apply on the go too, although I prefer to stipple it in with a brush. I have am extra fair (I wear a T1.5 in the skin tint) and bought Rose Madder and Meeting the Ex. They are both gorgeous; Rose Madder is a natural flush and Meeting the Ex is the most perfect pop of pink. It's also the best lip shade I have EVER found, especially with the liner in 1C. But it's the most drying lip formula I have ever encountered--within four hours my lips were cracked and peeling. Lisa, please please please make this lip color in another formula! Thank you for creating another beautiful product.
