Application
Apply Liquid Lurex directly to the eyelids with the applicator and blend out immediately with fingertips or a brush for a sparkling wash of colour. For more intense coverage apply a second layer for seamless full coverage disco drama. Liquid Lurex can also be used as an eyeliner either using a small liner brush or blended as a smoky line along the upper and lower lash line for a subtle flash of shimmering colour.
Once set the shadow dries to a completely smudge proof finish and will not move. Most skin types will not need to use primer underneath however, if you have very oily eyelids you can use your usual eye primer underneath as it will not affect the look or finish. When the party’s over, I would recommend using an oil-based makeup remover for easy removal. Screw cap on firmly after use, to prevent the product from drying out.

I thought this Cressida color would be a bit sparkly for me, at first, but I took a chance. I’ve re-created the look (to the best of my ability) from Lisa’s video, The Holiday look worn by Cameron Diaz. It was easy to do. These Liquid Lurex eyeshadows are very blendable. They can be subtle but also buildable. The formulation is very smoothing on the eyes as well. Love it!

This shade can be worn as a sheer wash of subtle pearl over the lid or layered up to achieve the tone of an actual pearl.
This works wonderfully as an inner eye highlight or layered with other solid shadows. All day wear with no creasing, using a primer.
This shade has no visible sparkle. It is a sheen finish.

For years, I wasn't a fan of liquid and cream shimmer eyeshadows. The skin of my eyelids is very thin, prone to dryness and reactive: whenever I applied liquid and cream shimmer eyeshadows, my eyelids looked like they aged 30 years whilst the rest of my face still looked youthful.
When I wear Liquid Lurex Eyeshadows my eyes and face are of the same age! The formula is lightweight and smoothing (even when I apply a few layers) and it lasts quite a long time. Hooray!
Aside from Cressida (I've always loved pearly shades) I also own Anjelica, which is a lovely tanned rose perfect for a quick and impactful eye look, and the (stunning but sadly discontinued) true gold shade Lauren. If I were wearing make-up more often, I'd probably add a few more!
