The best advice would be to use this as described by Lisa herself and you'll have the effect you're looking for. The texture is beautiful and velvety, it does last a whole night and it's easy to carry and reapply for touch-ups. Love it!

I needed a lip color that did not move while also not appearing too made-up - this pencil exceeded my expectations. Pompadour is the most perfect neutral fresh pink. It lasts through meals and drinks. I follow Lisa's techniques by using a light touch and blending with a lip brush. I then add just a dab of Gloss Embrace in the same color for added moisture. Pinch me - it is a dream come true.
