I always struggle with lip colours, they somehow never seem to lift my look in the way that so many people talk about lipstick, rather, awkwardly distracting instead. After doing a bit of research I realised I might be slightly olive! Such a revelation to me but makes a lot of sense and I fortunately came across Lisa's page recommending specific product colours for olives - anyway, Painterly was one of those. I love it! It's such a unique and beautiful colour... oh and it feels and performs amazingly too!

Even if I’m not fully made up, when I put on this lipstick I think I look and feel brighter and ready to go. The colour is what its name suggests, so it seems to be right with anything. It’s moisturising and luscious, it stays put, and it feels like the nicest kind of spoiling.

This is probably my favorite lip formula - very easy, moisturizing and fairly long-wearing. Previously I mostly used Kitten Mischief and Rose Official, but I've been really enjoying this one (Meet Me in Berlin) & Painterly since going darker with my hair & fashion choices. Nice muted tones but still add a bit of contrast/drama (depending on how much you build it up). Usually just use the 0N pencil if I'm using for everyday.

The formula of this lipstick is unbelievable. I'm more impressed with the formula than the color itself. The color is very beautiful, but perhaps a bit too bright and cool for my specific coloring. I will absolutely be purchasing more of these lipsticks, though.
